Lissivigeen Stone Circle

Lissivigeen Stone Circle is an ancient arrangement of seven standing stones near Killarney in southwest Ireland. The stones form a tight circular pattern, with some displaying ancient carved markings and surface details on their faces.

Two exceptionally large stones mark the entrance to the circle and stand out as the most striking elements on the site. One of these entrance stones carries spiral patterns and small cup-marks, showing that early people left traces of their handiwork with simple tools.
