Church of Saint John the Evangelist, Kilkenny

The Church of Saint John the Evangelist is a Gothic Revival church building with a flat-topped tower, granite columns, and ornate woodwork throughout. The interior features a decorated vaulted ceiling above the nave, sanctuary, and organ gallery.

The foundation stone was laid in 1897 and construction was completed in 1908, replacing an earlier parish church. The building replaced a previous religious structure that had served the community on Maudlin Street.
