Kyteler's Inn

Kyteler's Inn is a stone building containing four separate bars spread across multiple levels, with the lower level retaining original 13th-century architectural elements and stone walls. The spaces branch through the multi-story structure, offering different areas to explore and spend time in.

Dame Alice Kyteler established this inn in 1263, but later faced accusations of witchcraft from local authorities, though she managed to escape punishment. These charges marked a significant moment in the building's story, showing the challenges its founder had to overcome.

The pub comes alive with nightly music performances where local musicians play traditional instruments and welcome guests to join in. This practice of live music creates a welcoming and social setting.

Visitors can enjoy Irish coffee making demonstrations, whiskey tastings, and traditional meals throughout the pub. Group bookings are available for parties ranging from 10 to 120 people.

The medieval undercroft preserves an original groin-vaulted ceiling and fireplace that directly connect visitors to the building's 13th-century roots. These underground spaces offer an unexpected glimpse into the oldest layers of the structure.
