Castle Harrison, Great house near Ballyhea and Charleville, Ireland.
Located in North County Cork, Castle Harrison was a substantial residence with grounds that extended across the surrounding countryside near Ballyhea.
The estate changed ownership from the Fitzgerald family to the Harrison family, with Standish Harrison occupying the property by 1837.
The Harrison family maintained detailed genealogical records tracing their lineage back to Richard, Lord Harrisson, who arrived in England in 1056.
The structure no longer stands, as it was sold to the Irish Land Commission in 1956 and subsequently demolished after five sisters inherited the estate.
During railway construction near the estate, workers discovered numerous historical artifacts that enhanced understanding of local settlement patterns.
