Lackeen Castle, Norman castle in County Tipperary, Ireland.
The four-story tower house stands on a rocky outcrop, featuring an inset doorway protected by a murder hole and corbel stones.
Built in the 12th century as a Kennedy stronghold, the castle underwent reconstruction in the 16th century under John O'Kennedy's direction.
During restoration work, workers discovered the Stowe Missal, an 8th-century Latin mass book with Gaelic annotations, hidden within the castle walls.
Visitors can access the castle through a farm gate in the east wall, with additional entry points available through the west wall.
The castle grounds contain a preserved Cromwellian farmhouse and remnants of a high wall that now integrate with an adjacent farmyard.
