Afula

Located at the crossroads of major routes, Afula connects the cities of Nazareth, Haifa, Tiberias, and Beth-Shean in northern Israel.

The American Zion Commonwealth established Afula in 1925 with the vision of creating an urban center for Jewish settlements in the Jezreel Valley.

The population of 61,519 residents includes immigrants from Iraq, Yemen, Romania, Ethiopia, and the former Soviet Union, creating a varied community.

The industrial zone of Alon Tavor, northeast of the city, hosts manufacturing companies specializing in plastics production and other industrial activities.

Archaeological excavations at Tell Afula reveal continuous settlement patterns from the Chalcolithic period through the Ayyubid period, spanning thousands of years.
