The Crazy Building, Tel Aviv, Postmodernist residential building on Hayarkon Street, Tel Aviv, Israel.
The nine-story structure features wave-shaped balconies on the western side and a painted fresco with trees on its eastern facade.
Swiss developer Israel Bollag acquired the empty beachfront lot in the 1960s and completed the construction in 1985 after lengthy permit negotiations.
The building represents a departure from Tel Aviv's predominant Bauhaus architecture, incorporating mathematical fractals and organic forms in its design.
The structure contains residential apartments supported by large pillars, with each unit offering views of either the Mediterranean Sea or the urban landscape.
The exterior combines natural elements such as gravel, shells, and sand on the beach-facing side while displaying a metal-concrete fresco on the street side.
