Sammy Ofer Stadium is a football ground in Neve Peres, southern Haifa, with a curved gold-coloured facade that slopes outward toward the top, carrying white Hebrew and Latin lettering. A broad concrete ramp with metal railings rises to the stands above a recessed entrance supported by concrete pillars. The roof rests on 31 V-shaped steel columns, each weighing 91 tonnes, and covers about 27,000 square metres.
The stadium was built between 2009 and 2014 as a modern sports venue in Haifa. An Israeli businessman provided major funding for the project, which is how the stadium received its name.
The plaza holds a Statue of World Peace, a large stainless steel sculpture created by a Chinese artist. Visitors often notice this artwork when arriving at the venue.
The stadium is accessible and well signposted, with parking available nearby. Arrive early on match days to allow time for entry and finding your seat.
The stadium's roof rests on 31 V-shaped steel columns, each weighing 91 tonnes, and the gold roof covers about 27,000 square metres, the largest roof structure built in Israel. A 400-metre catwalk along it carries some 200 floodlights for the pitch.
