Amethi district

Amethi district is an administrative region in Ayodhya division, Uttar Pradesh, with Gauriganj as its administrative center. The area consists of several towns and rural settlements connected by local roads and markets.

The district was created in 2010 by combining administrative divisions from former Sultanpur and Raebareli districts. This reorganization established a new independent administrative unit with its own governance structure.
