Zaveri Bazaar

Zaveri Bazaar is a jewelry market in South Mumbai filled with hundreds of shops lining narrow lanes. The crowded streets contain gold, silver, and platinum ornament dealers spread across several city blocks.

The market began in the 19th century when merchant Ambalal Zaveri established his gold trading business in this area. Over time it grew into one of the city's major jewelry hubs.

The market is best reached by train using Churchgate or Masjid stations nearby. It works well to visit on a weekday when there are fewer crowds than on Saturdays.
