Vanchinadha Swamy Temple

Vanchinadha Swamy Temple is a Hindu sanctuary in Srivanchiyam featuring a prominent eastern gateway tower with several tiers and multiple shrines for various deities arranged throughout the grounds. The layout includes columned halls that connect different prayer spaces and create a sense of movement through the compound.

This sanctuary blends construction methods from the 11th century Chola period with later additions made by the Thanjavur Nayaks in the 16th century. These overlapping layers show how the site grew and changed over several hundred years.

The temple holds six daily rituals and twelve annual festivals, with the Masi Magam celebration in February-March gathering numerous devotees.
