Pathrakaliamman Temple, Hindu temple in Puthiamputhur, Tamil Nadu, India
The Pathrakaliamman Temple rises 61 feet tall and contains shrines dedicated to Arulmigu Sri Pathirakali Amman alongside Santhana Mari Amman and Vinayagar deities.
The temple, reconstructed in 1907, underwent multiple expansions until its final completion in 2004 with an investment of 80 lakh rupees from the Nadar community.
The temple celebrates two main festivals, Aani and Masi, which follow the Tamil calendar and include ceremonies, processions, and traditional music performances.
The temple welcomes visitors daily from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with specific devotional hours during mornings and evenings, particularly on Tuesdays and Fridays.
During festivals, participants engage in the yellow rope ceremony and observe week-long abstinence before performing elaborate worship ceremonies with specific offerings.
