Qavam Garden

Qavam Garden is a palace garden in Shiraz with rectangular water pools, orange trees, and a central mansion from the Qajar era. The mansion itself features mirrors, colored windows, and decorative tilework inside, along with a separate museum containing glass objects and historical artifacts.

The garden was built in 1886 and served the wealthy Qavam family as a residence and administrative center during the Qajar dynasty rule. The bathing facilities date from earlier periods and were later integrated into the complex, showing the long history of use at this site.

The garden displays traditional crafts visible throughout: mirror mosaics cover interior walls, colorful tile work decorates the water pools, and painted scenes adorn the ceilings of rooms. These handcrafted elements served as expressions of wealth and refined taste for the families who lived here.

The garden is located near a metro station, making access straightforward, and includes a museum with exhibits for visitors to explore. The entire site is open to the public during set times throughout the year.

The estate includes underground passages that once connected it to a neighboring pavilion, showing how wealthy families created private routes between buildings. These hidden corridors can still be seen today, giving visitors insight into how the residents moved through their properties.
