Vakil Hammam

Located near Vakil Mosque, this Persian bathhouse spans 4,000 square meters, featuring vaulted ceilings and decorated columns made of stone, brick, and mortar.

Built in 1767 during the Zand dynasty under Karim Khan's rule, the bathhouse formed part of a royal district alongside the Arg fortress and Vakil Mosque.

The bathhouse design includes a sarbineh transitional space and central chambers that demonstrate traditional Persian bathing and social gathering customs.

Visitors can explore the bathhouse through guided tours that include displays of costumed mannequins demonstrating historical bathing practices from the Zand period.

The central chamber contains distinctive candy-twist columns supporting the ceiling, while the heat room features an ancient pool system and intricate plasterwork.
