Qarasu Old Bridge

The Qarasu Old Bridge extends 149 meters in length and 7 meters in width, crossing the Qarasu River with six spans of stone and brick construction.

The bridge foundation dates to the Sassanid period, with additional construction during the Seljuk era and final completion in the Safavid period.

This structure served as a primary crossing point for caravans traveling between Iran and religious sites in Iraq, including Karbala, Najaf, and Kadhimiya.
