Zagros Paleolithic Museum

The Zagros Paleolithic Museum displays a collection of stone tools and animal fossil bones from archaeological sites throughout Iran across four exhibition rooms.

Founded in 2007 by Fereidoun Biglari and A. Moradi Bisetouni, the museum opened its doors in 2008 as the first Iranian institution dedicated to Paleolithic findings.

The exhibition includes a life-sized Neanderthal model and replicas of human skulls from notable European and Middle Eastern Paleolithic locations.

Located in Takyeh Beyglarbeygi, the museum features an audio-visual room where visitors can watch documentaries about prehistoric tool manufacturing techniques.

The museum houses two exceptional quartz tools from Kashafrud and an extensive collection of animal fossils from the Wezmeh Cave.
