Imamzadeh Jafar

The octagonal structure rises 25 meters high, featuring a conic dome and architectural elements from both Seljuk and Ilkhanid periods.

Built in the 11th century, this mausoleum preserves the remains of Abulqasim Jafar ibn al-Husayn, grandson of Shiah Imam Ali ibn al-Husayn.

The interior halls display ornate tile work from two distinct periods: the Safavid era of the 16th century and Qajar period of the 19th century.

Located at coordinates 33.8963866° N and 48.7705912° E, the structure sustained damage during the 2006 Borujerd earthquake, affecting its mud-brick sections.

The mausoleum sits within an old graveyard, where ancient trees and historical graves create an environment that spans multiple centuries.
