Kabud Gonbad Mosque

The Kabud Gonbad Mosque features four main iwans topped by a blue dome with yellow patterns, constructed from brick, mortar, and decorative tiles.

Construction of the mosque began in the Seljuk period during the 12th century, followed by major expansions in 1747 and renovations commissioned in 1835.

The mosque incorporates architectural elements from three distinct periods: Seljuk, Afsharid, and Qajar, displaying the evolution of Persian building techniques.

The mosque contains a rectangular courtyard measuring 19 meters in width and 27 meters in length, with an octagonal base supporting the main dome.

A tomb for the Mongol Jalairs family from the Ilkhanid period stands next to the eastern prayer hall, connecting the site to multiple historical dynasties.
