Gavmishan Bridge

Gavmishan Bridge is a stone structure crossing the Seymareh River and connecting the provinces of Ilam and Lorestan, distinguished by its solid brick construction. The structure displays a span between supports that is notable for ancient Persian building work.

The bridge was built in the late Sasanian period and was later destroyed during a defensive campaign. This event marked a turning point in the history of crossing that river.
