Veresk Bridge, Railway bridge in Savadkuh County, Iran.

Veresk Bridge is a stone arch structure that spans a deep valley in the Alborz Mountains, crossed daily by trains. The bridge consists of multiple arches and connects the northern mountainous terrain with the railway routes leading southward.

The bridge was built between 1934 and 1935 under Italian direction and represents an engineering achievement during Reza Shah's reign. The project was part of the Trans-Iranian railway line meant to connect Tehran with northern ports.

The bridge bears the name of the nearby Veresk village and serves as a daily landmark for rail travelers connecting the mountain highlands to the coastal lowlands. Visitors can see how the structure sits naturally within the surrounding terrain and shapes the region's transportation network.

The best way to view the bridge is from surrounding mountains or from train windows during travel, as direct access is limited. The area is mountainous and remote, so visitors should be prepared for rain and changing weather conditions.

A special feature is the memorial beneath the bridge honoring workers who died during construction. This quiet monument tells of the human cost behind creating this vital transportation link.
