Meshginshahr suspension bridge, Suspension bridge in Meshginshahr County, Iran.
Meshginshahr suspension bridge spans the Khiav River for 365 meters at a height of approximately 80 meters above the water. A 2-meter-wide walkway allows pedestrians to cross directly over the river.
The bridge was completed in 2015 as a major infrastructure project for the region. It was built to improve connections to remote areas and enable better access to the Meshginshahr and Sabalan regions.
The bridge links the slopes of Mount Sabalan with Meshginshahr forest park, serving as a gateway for visitors to experience the area's mountain landscape. It has become a place where people gather to take in views of the surrounding terrain and the river below.
The bridge is accessible daily year-round and can be reached most easily from Ardabil city by traveling toward the Noor Sabalan tourism region. Visit when weather conditions are clear and dry to enjoy the views and walk safely across.
Glass sections built into the wooden bridge structure allow walkers to watch brown trout swimming in the river far below as they cross. This feature creates a memorable experience by combining the bridge walk with direct views of river life.
