Vali-e-Asr Mosque

The Vali-e-Asr Mosque extends over 25,000 square meters with a horizontal design that incorporates tiered configurations rising naturally from street level toward Mecca.

The land for the mosque was initially owned by Suleiman Manavi, and after the Iranian Revolution, the government transformed the property from a parking lot to a religious site.

The structure deviates from traditional mosque architecture by excluding domes and minarets, reflecting a contemporary interpretation of Islamic religious spaces in Iran.

The building contains four underground parking levels, a library, meeting halls, and classrooms, with cream marble floors and white plaster walls throughout the interior.

The sloping roof features ribbed vaults that create a spiral movement leading to the prayer hall while allowing natural light and air circulation through the space.
