The Reza Abbasi Museum features a collection of 30,000 artifacts including ceramics, metalwork, textiles, paintings, and manuscripts spanning multiple Iranian periods.
Opening in September 1977, the museum experienced several closures and renovations before establishing its current form with a comprehensive reopening in 2000.
The collection spans from the second millennium BC through the 20th century, presenting pre-Islamic and Islamic artifacts arranged in chronological sequence.
The museum maintains operating hours from Tuesday through Sunday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, with a library containing 10,000 books in multiple languages.
A significant portion of the museum displays golden rhytons from the Median era, including a notable ram's head vessel from the 7th-6th century BC.
