Grand Musalla of Tehran, Mosque and fair ground in District 7, Tehran, Iran
The Grand Musalla of Tehran features multiple structures, including a 135-meter minaret, a 63-meter dome with a 54-meter diameter, and a width of 110 meters.
Construction of this religious complex began in the 1990s as a replacement for Friday prayers previously held at the University of Tehran.
The Tehran International Book Fair and International Handicrafts Exhibition take place within the Grand Musalla, transforming it into a center for cultural exchange.
Access to the Grand Musalla is provided through the Mosalla Imam Khomeini Metro Station and a bus rapid transit station connecting to Line 5.
Upon completion, this concrete structure will become the second-largest mosque worldwide, following only the Imam Reza Shrine in Mashhad.
