Grand Musalla of Tehran

The Grand Musalla of Tehran is a modern concrete complex with striking proportions including a 135-meter minaret, a 63-meter dome, and a main span of approximately 110 meters. The building accommodates both religious gatherings and large-scale exhibitions within its expansive interior.

Construction began in the 1990s to relocate Friday prayers from the University of Tehran to a larger dedicated space. The project represented efforts to establish a major center for religious and cultural gatherings.

The International Book Fair and International Handicrafts Exhibition are held here regularly, drawing visitors from many countries. The space functions as a meeting point where people share knowledge and appreciate traditional crafts.

Visitors can reach the site easily by metro to the Mosalla Imam Khomeini Station or by rapid transit bus that connects directly. The grounds are spacious, so allow adequate time to explore and check in advance for current events or exhibitions.

The structure was designed to serve as one of the world's largest religious gathering centers with capacity for massive crowds. Its blend of contemporary engineering and traditional religious function distinguishes it within Iran's modern architectural landscape.
