The Musei Civici di Treviso occupies the former St. Mary's Convent, featuring two cloisters and multiple exhibition spaces across different historical buildings.
Founded in 1879 by Luigi Bailo, the museum complex underwent significant reconstruction after World War II damages and reopened its doors in 1952.
The museum exhibits an extensive collection of artworks from Bronze Age artifacts to Renaissance masterpieces by Lorenzo Lotto, Tiziano Vecellio, and Giovanni Bellini.
The museum complex includes three main locations: Museo Santa Caterina, Museo Luigi Bailo, and Ca' da Noal, each offering different artistic and historical perspectives.
The Museo Luigi Bailo section holds the largest global collection of works by sculptor Arturo Martini, displayed in specially designed exhibition spaces.
