Albano Laziale

Albano Laziale rises at about 400 meters elevation in the Alban Hills and spreads across hilly terrain southeast of Rome. The settlement preserves numerous ancient Roman structures, including villas and bath complexes from the imperial period.

The location served as an important Roman outpost in antiquity with grand villas and large bath complexes built during Emperor Caracalla's reign. These Roman remains continue to shape the landscape today.
