The palace spans 8,000 square meters with multiple halls featuring red and blue rooms, a dining area, and a ballroom with detailed mirror decorations.
Construction began in the 18th century when Charles III of Bourbon became King of Sicily, prompting aristocrats to build grand residences in Palermo.
The palace gained international recognition as the filming location for Luchino Visconti's 1963 masterwork Il Gattopardo in its grand ballroom.
Visitors can book guided tours lasting two hours, with individual visits arranged through Associazione Cultura Itiner'ARS or groups of 25 directly with the palace.
The Gallery of Mirrors contains a twelve-meter ceiling and floors decorated with Vietri majolica designs depicting The Labors of Hercules.
