Shaman, Steel roller coaster in Gardaland, Castelnuovo del Garda, Italy.
Shaman is a steel roller coaster at Gardaland with a track length of approximately 750 meters and four inversions. The ride reaches speeds around 70 kilometers per hour and features a vertical drop section.
The ride opened in 1985 as Magic Mountain with Arrow Dynamics trains. In 2008, it was rebuilt with new Vekoma trains and renamed Shaman.
The roller coaster incorporates Native American design elements throughout its structure and station building, reflecting traditional spiritual themes.
Visitors must be between 120 and 205 centimeters tall to ride. Each train holds 28 passengers across seven cars with two rows of seats.
During the 2020-2021 overhaul, major sections of track were replaced while keeping the original station and first drop intact. This selective modernization blends the historical elements with contemporary safety standards.
