Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia, Football stadium in Bergamo, Italy
Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia serves as the home ground of Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio in the northern Italian city of Bergamo. The venue holds just under 25,000 spectators and features four covered stands that wrap tightly around the pitch.
The ground opened in the late 1920s under the name Stadio Mario Brumana and was renamed Stadio Comunale after the Second World War. The current name was adopted in the mid-1990s to honor the Italian national team.
The North Stand bears the name of Federico Pisani, an Atalanta player who died in 1997, maintaining a connection with the club's heritage.
The ground sits about two kilometers from Bergamo's old town and is reachable by regular bus lines from the city center and railway station. On match days, it is advisable to arrive early as the surrounding streets get busy.
The playing surface received praise for its quality at the Serie A Awards in 2023 following renovations. The venue now meets UEFA requirements for international competitions.
