Church of Pietà dei Turchini

The Church of Pietà dei Turchini is a baroque place of worship in Naples featuring a facade completed in 1770 by Bartolomeo Vecchione. Inside, the walls display paintings by major artists from the 17th century.

This church was founded in 1592 by a charitable confraternity to serve the local community. Following an explosion at Castel Nuovo in 1638 that damaged the building, it underwent reconstruction.

This place functioned as a music school for orphans, giving it deep roots in the city's charitable and artistic traditions. The institution shaped how local people understood education and music as acts of care and community support.
