Monte Ceresa

Monte Ceresa is a mountain area in the Province of Ascoli Piceno situated between two major national parks. The landscape is bounded by two rivers and contains multiple hiking routes at different difficulty levels.

Local communities developed paths through this area over centuries to connect settlements across the region. These ancient routes form the foundation of the hiking network that exists today.

The CAI Ascoli Piceno published a detailed guidebook in 2005, containing 17 hiking routes and 7 mountain bike trails across Monte Ceresa.

The area is best explored during spring and autumn when conditions are most favorable for hiking. Visitors should come prepared for steep terrain and bring standard hiking gear.

The mountain territory spans 120 square kilometers, featuring an extensive network of trails documented in a 1:25,000 scale topographic map.
