Monte Ceresa rises to 1494 meters above sea level, positioned between the Monti Sibillini and Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga national parks.

The mountain paths of Monte Ceresa developed through centuries of local inhabitants who established communication routes between settlements in the region.

The CAI Ascoli Piceno published a detailed guidebook in 2005, containing 17 hiking routes and 7 mountain bike trails across Monte Ceresa.
