Villaggio Coppola, Coastal settlement in Castel Volturno, Italy.
Villaggio Coppola is a coastal settlement in Castel Volturno with residential buildings, shopping centers, and former military towers. These structures line the shoreline and reach toward the Mediterranean Sea.
The settlement began in the 1960s when two brothers from Casal di Principe developed the area by constructing housing and towers without proper permits. Authorities later demolished several of these waterfront buildings in the early 2000s as part of a coastal restoration effort.
The village served as a popular seaside resort with active beach life and numerous entertainment spots for visitors and residents. Daily life centered around the seafront and local shops where people gathered and spent their time together.
The settlement has basic infrastructure including water, electricity, and paved roads. The area is currently undergoing redevelopment, so visitors should expect ongoing construction activity and temporary route changes.
The village attracted thousands of summer visitors in the 1970s who came for beach time and local entertainment. This heavy seasonal use made it a well-known holiday destination along the Naples coast.
