Villa Finaly

Villa Finaly is a manor house in Florence situated on Via Bolognese with approximately 25 rooms and gardens planted with mature trees. The building features conference facilities and lies within reach of Florence's historic center.

The estate was built in 1423 and served for centuries as a private residence for wealthy Florentine families. The Landau-Finaly family donated it to the University of Paris in 1953, and it has since become an international academic center.

The villa was once the residence of a prominent family and retains 18th-century frescoes that decorate its rooms. Today visitors sense its role as a meeting place where scholars and students from different countries work together.

Access to the property is available in the morning and early afternoon, so plan your visit accordingly. The building has multiple spaces for different activities with internet connection throughout the facility.

Interestingly, the villa is now jointly owned by 13 universities that form the University of Paris and is managed by the Chancellerie des Universités. This unusual arrangement makes it a distinctive model of international academic collaboration.
