The Natività di Gesù is a Renaissance Revival church building located in Rome's Parione district. Its exterior displays three levels supported by four wide pillars, while the interior holds a single nave flanked by two side altars.
The church was founded in 1692 and originally served the Compagnia della Natività fraternity. This brotherhood focused on spiritual support for people at the end of life and those facing execution.
Today this church serves as the main gathering place for Rome's Congolese community. It reflects their religious practices and remains central to their life together in the city.
The church is located on Vicolo dei Granari 10/A directly across from the Pasquino statue. It is typically open on weekday afternoons and weekend evenings for visits.
Church records show that confessions made within these walls could reduce penances for both the person confessing and someone awaiting execution. This represented a special form of spiritual assistance offered at the time.
