San Pietro cathedral

San Pietro is a church in Collesano with a three-nave layout and a grand staircase leading to the entrance through an early 20th-century facade. The building displays a clear architectural structure with classical proportions that developed over several periods.

Construction began in 1543 and the building underwent several development phases over the following centuries. In 1983, Pope John Paul II granted it the status of minor basilica.
