Santa Maria in Piazza

Santa Maria in Piazza features three marble portals on its Renaissance facade, accessed by a basalt staircase leading to the churchyard.

Construction of the church began in 1487 and reached completion in 1490, with consecration taking place on April 30, 1508.

The main altar displays a significant painting depicting the Death and Assumption of the Virgin, attributed to Giovanni Filippo Criscuolo's workshop.
