Eremo di Santa Caterina d'Alessandria

The stone building features a gabled roof, simple facade with two small windows, and a single nave leading to an altar with dark local stone columns.

Constructed in 1624, the church incorporates walls dating back 1500 years, built upon the foundation of an earlier, smaller religious structure.

Each Easter Monday, residents celebrate the Sportella festival at the hermitage, continuing a tradition of sharing special cakes linked to spring ceremonies.

The hermitage is accessible through a marked path bordered by cypress trees and Mediterranean plants, located at 260 meters above sea level.

The site houses the dei Semplici Gardens, dedicated to researching and preserving the native flora of the Tuscan Archipelago's seven islands.
