Monte Civrari, Mountain summit in Piedmont, Italy

Monte Civrari is a mountain summit in the Graian Alps that reaches 2302 meters high. The massif displays three distinct peaks that define its skyline and character.

The name Civrari comes from the Piedmontese dialect and refers to the mountain's past use as grazing land for goats in earlier centuries. This long tradition shaped how people used the Alpine landscape.

Local mountain communities maintain traditional Alpine practices through organized hiking expeditions and seasonal festivals that celebrate the natural environment of Monte Civrari.

The mountain is reachable via marked trails starting from Niquidetto, with the route taking roughly three hours and gaining about 1100 meters in elevation. Sturdy footwear and proper gear matter because conditions at altitude can shift quickly.

At the mountain's base sits a small alpine lake perched at 1956 meters that serves as a natural rest point before tackling the final push to Bocchetta del Civrari. This lake provides a welcome break for hikers before the last stretch.
