Museo di arte sacra

The museum displays sacred artwork collections throughout seven exhibition halls within a former Augustine convent building in the upper area of Certaldo.

The museum opened in 2001 inside a fifteenth-century Augustine monastery that underwent complete restoration to accommodate the exhibition spaces.

The exhibition includes religious paintings from the 13th to 16th centuries, sacred goldsmith works, ceremonial vestments, and artworks from local churches.

Visitors can access the museum through the cloister adjacent to Saints James and Philip Church, with wheelchair facilities available throughout the building.

The Linari Collection in the seventh hall presents art pieces from Villa Bardi di Linari, featuring various paintings and engravings from different artists.
