Riserva naturale Complesso morenico di Castellaro Lagusello is a protected area spanning two municipalities in Mantova province. The reserve features morainic hills with a heart-shaped lake at its center, displaying the geological legacy of glacial periods.

The area has been inhabited since the Bronze Age, as archaeological digs have revealed artifacts spanning from prehistoric to Roman periods. This continuous settlement pattern reflects how the location held appeal across different historical eras.

The medieval borgo of Castellaro Lagusello, inside the reserve, is entered through the castle and its walls; the battlements are Guelph, with swallowtail merlons. Palazzo Tacoli, the former seat of local authority, stands in the village. The reserve also protects the morainic amphitheatre of Lake Garda, with marshes, peat bogs and a small lake.

The reserve is best visited by arranging a visit in advance, as access is limited and requires coordination with reserve staff. Sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate clothing are necessary for comfortably exploring the hills and paths on the grounds.

The reserve protects the morainic amphitheatre of Lake Garda, with marshes, peat bogs and a small lake among orchard-covered hills and meadows. It was established in 1984 and covers 138.60 hectares, managed by the Consorzio Parco del Mincio. Within its bounds stand the medieval village of Castellaro Lagusello, its castle and Palazzo Tacoli.
