Riserva naturale orientata Monte Genuardo e Santa Maria del Bosco, Regional nature reserve in Contessa Entellina and Giuliana, Italy.
Monte Genuardo reserve spans 2,553 hectares across mountainous terrain, reaching an elevation of 1,180 meters in western Sicily.
The protected area, established in 1997, underwent temporary incorporation into Monti Sicani Park in 2012 before returning to its original status in 2019.
The Santa Maria del Bosco Abbey within the reserve stands as a testament to the religious heritage of this Sicilian territory.
The visitor center, housed in a stone building since 2003, serves as a base for educational activities and guest reception.
The northern slopes contain holm oak and downy oak forests, while maple trees and mountain ash grow on the southern side.
