Villa Lebrecht, Venetian villa in San Floriano, San Pietro in Cariano, Italy
Villa Lebrecht is a 16th-century Venetian house in San Floriano with three central structures decorated with arches and pilasters. A landscaped park with pathways and flower beds surrounds the building.
The house was built in the 16th century by the Fumanelli family and later passed to the Ottolini family. Architect Giacomo Franco carried out major renovations in the 1860s.
The ground floor contains a ceiling fresco showing Bacchus crowning Ariadne, painted by Giovanni Caliari. This mythological scene comes alive in one of the villa's decorated rooms.
The University of Verona now uses this house as a teaching center for viticulture and wine studies. Visitors should check in advance whether tours are possible since it functions as an active university facility.
The first floor displays the most refined decorations, featuring large windows and balustrades designed during the 19th-century renovation. These refined details come from a later layer of the house's history.
