Villa Romana of Minori

The Villa Romana spans 2,500 square feet across multiple levels, featuring a central pool surrounded by covered passageways with columns near the Regginolo river.

Archaeological excavations of this first-century seaside villa began in 1934 after workers discovered an underground chamber during local home renovations in 1932.

The villa contains a nymphaeum dining space decorated with ancient mosaics, frescoes, and water features that reflect Roman architectural preferences of the period.

The archaeological site remains open throughout the year with operating hours from 9:00 AM until one hour before sunset, offering free admission to visitors.

Recent restoration projects received 4.9 million euros from the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage to preserve the ancient mosaics in the triclinium dining room.
