Municipio 6 of Milan

Municipio 6 is an administrative zone in southwestern Milan that includes neighborhoods such as Barona, Lorenteggio, and Porta Genova. The area combines residential quarters with commercial zones and is crossed by historic canals that shape its layout.

The zone was created in 1999 when three previous administrative districts merged into one unified municipality. This reorganization brought together communities that had distinct identities but shared geographic proximity.
