Fondazione MAST CIAO

Fondazione MAST is an art museum housed in a former industrial building with exhibition spaces across multiple levels connected by pedestrian ramps. The structure merges industrial design with contemporary architecture and includes a dedicated research area for photography studies.

The museum resulted from a 2005 architectural competition won by Studio Labics to redesign the industrial complex. The project opened in 2013 and transformed a former production site into an arts institution.

The collection displays photographs of work environments and industrial processes, documenting how craftwork transformed into modern production. Visitors see how artists and photographers captured the world of labor across different eras.

The location is easy to reach and features wide entrances with level exhibition spaces and ramps for accessibility. The building offers free wireless internet and quiet work areas for visitors who want to study photographs and research materials.

The building houses an experimental nursery school for children from three months to three years old that applies artistic learning methods. This unusual approach integrates early childhood development with a creative environment under one roof.
