The Fondazione MAST building contains exhibition spaces across multiple levels connected by pedestrian ramps, integrating industrial design with contemporary architecture.
The foundation opened its doors in October 2013 following an architectural competition won by Studio Labics in 2005 to transform the industrial complex.
The museum maintains a collection of over 5000 photographs focused on industrial subjects, work environments, and technological advancement throughout different time periods.
Visitors can access free Wi-Fi throughout the building while exploring exhibitions, attending workshops, or utilizing the research facilities in the photography library.
The foundation incorporates a nursery school for children aged 3 to 36 months that applies experimental learning methods within an artistic environment.
