San Domenico is a baroque church in the historic center of Castiglione del Lago, distinguished by its carefully designed details and warm stone tones. The church was built in 1636 by the last duke of the Corgna family, Fulvio II Alessandro, in fulfillment of a vow for his wife's healing. It became closely linked to the Corgna family, who ruled Castiglione del Lago from the 17th century through the mid-18th century and shaped this place as their family seat.
