SS. Giovanni e Paolo, Former Romanesque church in Spoleto, Italy

The stone structure features a simple facade with a circular rose window and a narrow entrance doorway adorned with a decorative lunette.

Built in 1174 upon earlier religious foundations, the church incorporates reused materials from the Roman period in its construction.

The interior walls display numerous frescoes from the 12th to 16th centuries, including a rare depiction of Thomas Becket's martyrdom.

The church stands in Via Filitteria, within the former Byzantine quarter of medieval Spoleto, at coordinates 42.736055, 12.736747.

A removed fresco depicting the Martyrdom of Saints John and Paul now resides in the National Museum of the Duchy at Villa Albornoziana.
