Casa Menotti, Documentation Center and Museum in Spoleto, Italy.
Casa Menotti is a museum housed in a 16th-century building spread across three floors with interactive displays devoted to music, dance, and theater. The spaces contain historical posters, installations, and digital collections documenting the festival's story through the decades.
The festival's founder passed away in 2007, after which the Monini Foundation acquired the building and transformed it into a multimedia museum. The renovation was completed and the space opened to the public in 2011.
The center preserves materials showing how the Festival dei Due Mondi has drawn artists and audiences from around the world since its creation. Visitors can sense the importance this event holds for the local community and the international arts scene.
The first floor features a large touch screen table where visitors can explore digital archives and festival recordings at their own pace. The three-floor layout allows you to move through the displays comfortably without feeling rushed.
The second floor preserves the founder's original living quarters, including his Steinway piano and handwritten musical scores in the bedroom. This space offers visitors a rare look into the personal world of the artist who shaped the festival.
