Teatro Bramante, Historic theatre in Urbania, Italy

Teatro Bramante is a theater building in Urbania featuring three tiers of boxes and an open gallery level above. The ceiling displays medallions depicting the four elements, and the structure combines classical architectural elements with intimate seating arrangement.

The site has medieval roots, as the theater was built on the foundations of a 14th-century fortress. A complete redesign in 1726 under architect Pietro Abati transformed the structure and created its present form.

The theater is named after Donato Bramante, the Renaissance architect whose name reflects a connection to a major artistic era. The name reminds visitors of the city's deep ties to art history.

The building is easy to navigate and features a clear internal layout with seating areas at different heights. Visitors should use the stairs to explore the different gallery levels and find the best viewing angle of the stage.

The original stage curtain and set equipment were designed by set designer Romolo Liverani and remain in place today. These artistic works allow visitors to see the scenic aesthetics from another era.
