Rifugio Giuseppe Garibaldi

Rifugio Giuseppe Garibaldi is a mountain hut located at 2231 meters elevation in the Adamello massif, situated between Trentino and Lombardy. The building can accommodate up to 110 guests and features a dining area for visitors.

The hut was built in 1886 and became an important base for mountaineers crossing the Adamello range. It played a role in supporting the growth of alpine exploration in the region.

The Club Alpino Italiano operates this refuge, maintaining Italian alpine traditions and providing a space where mountaineers share their experiences and knowledge.

Visitors should book in advance, especially during warmer months when more people visit the location. It is important to bring appropriate gear and sturdy footwear since access requires hiking on mountain trails.

Just next to the hut sits Lake Venerocolo, a mountain lake that draws many hikers to the area. From this location, visitors can explore multiple routes leading to Adamello peak and through the surrounding park.
